Saint Seurin

Saint-Seurin is one of the most ancient districts in Bordeaux. Here you can find the remnants of an ancient amphitheatre, which many locals call «Gallien palace». The Saint-Seurin basilica has survived, its most ancient parts are built in the XI cent.

In addition to these two famous buildings, Saint-Seurin is considered as an emblem of wine commerce. You can also find a lot of high-class mansions, built with light Bordeaux stones.

This district is also known as a cultural epicentre with its two libraries and two theatres Le Trianon (https://www.theatretrianon.com/accueil) and La Nouvelle Comédie Gallien (http://www.lanouvellecomediegallien.fr/).
